but the FLD is in an other price range. I can buy it secondhand for 1600, and new is cost 2800. So a little bit more😛

I'm not familiar with the brand, so didn't realize.

FWIW. If you love the way it sounds and can afford it...........*diablo*

*shok* That's a steep mark-up! Just a couple of years ago, the LFD Zero Mk IV (not Signature version) was around 2000 EUR a piece! Probably a supply and demand thing (Dr. Bews, who designs and makes the amps, has only two hands...).

You might consider going back for a demo of the second-hand LFD Mistral, mentioned on his website for 699 EUR. See how big a piece of the Mk IV 699 EUR can buy you...

[EDIT: don't want to be too pedantic, but it's LFD, not FLD. It comes from Low Frequency Distortion, iirc.]

@ Cno: LFD has some cult status, mainly in the US. Both the Zero Mk IV and the NCSE made the A-list in their Recommended Components year after year!

It was also the first time that I heard it. And I think its a lot of money, especially when the creek is almost half the money and sounded also very detailed, not like the LFD but much better than my current amp.

He would take my current amp when I would buy an amp from him. So than the creek is around 600, and this is very hard to resist🙂

If he sells Creek, he might also sell Epos (speakers)......that is a match worth trying.

Yes indeed, its really oldskool. But RAf said that they are the only brand that keep evolving in the good way; And I believe him. I tested them with the elac speakers. And they shine😛 I compared them directly with the creek 50a, and the LFD were just an other category.

But the creek, for that price is also excellent. I think in that price range, the best to buy🙂

And yes, very nice guy. You feel like your at home. And indeed, I think the bug caught me😛
