I'm looking for some speakers for Christmas - my current ones are JBL Radial Micro speakers. I really like these but am looking for a bit of an upgrade and ones without an apple dock as I no longer have an ipod.

Most of the speakers I've found are wireless ones but as I don't mind an aux cable and will probably want to use them plugged into my imac I don't want to be paying for the wireless and sacrificing sound quality - I would probably have to plug in an aux cable to the mac to avoid lag anyway. (Just to clarify, I'll also want to use them plugged into phones etc with an aux cable)

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

A Behringer UCA202 usb dac and a pair of Studiospares/Seiwin SN4a active speakers, about £150 the set from london pro dealer Studiospares.

You will need some cables and, ideally something to decouple the speakers from the desktop, I use Audio Engine DS1 desk stands, about £25 but you can improvise if you want.
