Best DAC for ~1000USD in 2016

I own the Cambridge Azur 851D, which I think the the best bang for the buck at 1000USD. I need to buy another DAC, to use mainly as a headphone amp, but also as a XLR feed to my active monitors. I've narrowed it down to the new Teac UD 503 (also 1000USD). But for the money, the 851D has alot more hardware and options(I think), and its built like a tank, like no other DAC. So, I'm still leaning twords another 851D.

I only use the DAC for internet streaming through USB, I don't care for DSD or other new media (or at least not yet)

Looking for suggestions or recomendations for other DACs

Very happy with the Pioneer U-05 and it would work as a preamp for your monitors. Perhaps there's more bang for your buck out there if you do not need the volume control function.
