Sky hd

Whats the best way to connect this system up for best sound/picture to the DENON1909 Reciever/ Will it be a good match.

Later on to add a surround package.

PS3 and BDP-S350 hooked to Denon with HDMI cable for both video and audio.
Sky HD to Denon with HDMI for video and optical to Denon for audio.
Denon to Sony TV with HDMI for video.

Well you can connect all three items up to the receiver via HDMI and an optical lead for the Sky HD then connect the receiver to the TV via HDMI.

It will be a fine match.

When you say standard speaker cable, surely not the crappy ones you get with the speakers

It'll work, though most probably worth an upgrade. I'd probably just take a recommendation from your dealer on that though - usually worth a go getting some thrown in with the sell if you can.

why optical to denon for audio with sky hd. Doesnt hdmi do video and audio?

Is it because sky hd will only output stereo as apossed to 5.1 sound which optical connection will give
