Best 4K player & region free?

Looking at getting the UBP-X800 or the Oppo UDP-203 but I have a fair amount of region1 DVDs.

From what I understand the Oppo is superior in most ways but that is reflected in the price but is it easily changed to be region free?

I know you can buy the Sony already done but it concerns me that it doesn't support DV.

What would you guys do in my situation?

The Sony is here multiregion and I would say Dolby Vision is a complete waste of money, HDR is much better.

I have the Oppo at the moment but the Sony wasn’t available, if it was I would’ve probably bought the Sony.

Or Sony have just brought out this one, which does Dolby Vision Via a firmware update:
