Bel Canto top of range dac and amp

Guys,

I am seriously considering an upgrade from my Bel Canto s300id integrated to the top of the range Dac3.5vb and a pair of the ref1000m mono amps. i will not be able to audition as these are second hand but a bargain price.

Source will be lossless or a cyrus cd8x and speakers are B&W 805s.

Has anyone any experience of this kit.

Clare/Andrew, Any chance of you reviewing some Bel Canto stuff?

Well, i got no comments on here and so went ahead anyway. i have to say they are superb.

I just seem to get so much more detail now and the amount of power there is frightening.

my big issue now is that i am not sure my speakers are upto the job and i may need to upgrade them to something different.

anyone got any thoughts on an older pair of B&W nautilus 803 speakers

Hi There,

Hope this is not against house rules, but it may be best to go onto cyrus unofficial website and try their forum, as quite a few people have swapped their cyrus kit to bel canto and they say they are quite a bit better.

Log on and ask your questions there. Hope this helps.
