bd wise greyed out

i have samsung 3d tv an blu ray bd c5900 when connected directly to each other via hdmi bd wise works fine.

but now i bought a onkyo amp. i have to connect blu ray to amp i know that bd wise goes off as is not compatible i understand that issue.

But i liked the bd wise i was wondering if i got something like a hdmi selecter plugged directly in blu ray (as bluray only has one hdmi socket ) then one hdmi cable into amp. then other directly into tv would this work without effecting sound or picture ?

If your Onkyo has 1.4 HDMI ports it should be able to handle BD wise. My Yamaha allows this function to work, although I have a Sony player. BD wise is just an extension of the HDMI CEC.

Have you tried different inputs on the back of the AVR, I would suggest starting with the one labelled for Blu ray. I've heard of some inputs not working fully on the new 608 from friends, which AVR do you have?
