Evening all, just a quick one-my KDLEX403 (32") is failing to connect to the I-Player.This is a hard wired connection and all other internet features are working.I see from other posts elsewhere this is a known fault.Has anyone any suggestions as to a fix? Will a factory reset suffice?

Thanks in anticipation,Craig,Nottingham.

I can't help other than to say that I've emailed Sony about similar problems with a Sony 570 BD player and had a reply asking for details of my server and router.

Thanks for the reply;forgot to add that in my front room I have an S370 that works fine on I-Player,however the version on the 403 is a Beta version.I don't know if this is significant but it cannot be my server (Virgin) or my router given that the S370 is working fine.

Best wishes,Craig,Nottingham.

My problem sounds a bit different than yours. My server is Tiscali, now TalkTalk, and the router is NetgearDG834GT. I keep on geting "not enough memory" messages despite erasing BD data and adding a memory stick.

I did a factory reset yesterday evening and that has cured the problem. The I-Player is now the standard version not the Beta.Strange.What speed is your broadband? We have the 20mb Virgin and it gets hammered by my Son on his X-Box but as yet no buffering problems with the Player. This is one advantage of having cable and not relying on a phone line.

On a line test, the speed was 15.12Mb. I've tried a factory reset, but with no success. I will await Sony's reply with interest.

I have a KDL37EX403 with a Sony dongle which works fine on Iplayer via wifi, as does my BDPS-570, have you updated the firmware? Set it to auto update on the TV.

Yes, I've updated both the 570 and TV software. The Sony 570 is connected wirelesly to the Netgear router. The TV is a Samsung 40 C8000 not connected to the internet.

To troubleshoot i would take tv to someone elses house and try it on a different web connection.

I would also try a different router at your house if possible + put the TV's IP in the DMZ just to make sure nothing odd was going on.

If you try it at a different site and it dosnt work and u have changed router (effecitvly twice due to the one on the other site) then its Sonys problemo i think :)
