I just came across this artist while watching Street Kings, the track from Lupe Fiasco - Put you on Game and enjoyed the deepest bass I've ever heard.

Can anyone recommend track which will burst my heart and stop it from pumping anymore !

Aphex Twins 'Selected Ambient works 85-92' is a real speaker workout, and a great album too. "Ageispolis is a great Ambient/Techno/DUB/ ? track which pumps out low bass. The track "We are the music makers" is another speaker basher.
Ageispolis

Jah Wobble
Tosca's "Suzuki in dub"
Hot Chip are good for tight bass
Leftfield
New Order's "Technique" for the best summer album ever, and an overlooked top 10 in anyone's collection

The bassist in Belouis Some did that to me when I went to see Queen at Maine Road in '86. Some concertgoers on the tour got INXS, others got Marillion and we got Belouis Bloody Some!

Listening to Leftism right now . Bass-lines to die for!!

Aye, Leftism and Portishead, but try track 5 on LHBs Dig You May Find a Friend. If ever there was a demo track to get the cockles warming...

Jimmy Edgar 'I Wanna Be Your STD' on Warp Records. Very deep bass and incredibly fast as well, a rare combination and very difficult to reproduce well.

I wouldn`t say it would burst your heart exactly but I`ve always been fond of the bass lines on an Abba track called `My Mama Said` from the `Waterloo` album. If you`ve got a decent system it sounds really great and I`ve mentioned it partly for the fact you might not expect to get that sort of sound from a band like Abba.

The albums don't quite do them justice but the 1st time i saw the Prodigy, i felt the bass they produced vibrate right through my body. Awesome.

The bass in Doomsnight (I think it's called) by Azzido Da Bass blew one of my Leak speakers when I cranked it up.

nandjg:White Stripes - Ball & Biscuit from Elephant

Er...I might be mistaking but I don't think there was a bass player in the band!

Sub bass in metal isn't particularly common.

13th Step by A Perfect Circle has very low bass.

Obsolete by Fear factory has a lot of sub bass drops. ('Shock' has loads, 'Hi-tech hate' has a nice long one that ends the intro)

Strapping Young Lad like to drop in the occasional sub bass too.

Motorhead in concert.

Never got on with Soulfly.

Slipknot? Haven't heard much sub-bass in Slipknot. Will have to listen again. (Oh yeah. Don't forget the new one's out on Monday.)

Bass that will burst your heart? Madonna Vouge on a JBL PA system with 11,000 watts of power resulting in 132db listening levels in a room 18ft by 21ft made the air move...you could feel the air pressure changing! It was awsome!

'The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now' has a lovely low end growl to it, it's lovely. 'Vans' by The Pack has the most insane bass I've ever heard, to anyone familiar with the track; I'm sure you know what I mean. Also 'Clones' by the Roots, the begin drums are so incredibly hard hitting, it's quite scary.
