Hya - hope someone can help.

I have been looking here and elsewhere for a 42in TV. Viewing screens in Currys etc doesn't help much. Usually the reviewed screens here are difficult to find. I am soooo confused !

I can spend up to about £800 but I am looking for a good quality screen, LED, LCD, plasma ?? Where can I find a bargain?

Comments welcome.

Cheers

A little more info would help us find you a bargain best for your needs:

What do you want the TV for - mostly SD normal TV and/or DVD? HD TV and Blu-ray? Mixture of both?

Do you intend to use it for gaming?

How far do you plan to sit from your TV?

Is it near a window/direct light source?

Thankyou all for your replies. I use Sky HD and Bluray where possible. No gaming except a Wii :). Seating is about 8 ft and the window is no problem.

Further comment very welcome thanks.

Just sorted the furniture. Soon to decorate - now back to the TV !

Good reviews and reports here for Panasonic but the prices vary enormously. G10, G15 or G20 or even X10. Are the newer models worth extra or should I go for a bargain?

G10 £600, G20 £793, G15 £600, X10 £500, X20 £470 all from the same supplier.

Any suggestions welcome thanks
