Are they worth it? I'm assuming it's not worth spending mega money but I feel they might just give that piece of mind that the connections are nice and flush and no stray wires escaping.

Was looking at getting these.

I have Cambridge audio ones but I don't think there is any benefit to sound, I have them just to keep it all looking tidy. 8)

Don't like rhe 1st connection inline but side connecrion is great idea. I use rhose with 2 screws but I like those a lot. Makes connections simpler, no ahorts & easy to disconnect.

actually bare wire is better than bannanas from sound quality POW. unless you're using pure copper bannanas (most are brass, and all cheepo are definitely brass).

Bare wire is of course good sonically, but you also have to be very careful not to have stray wires touching the wrong posts, and also you will need to cut it down every so often to get rid of the oxydization that will quite quickly form on it (assuming you are using copper cable).

I used the Nakamichi bananas for a while as I liked the design, and with some heat shrink you get a good long lasting oxydization termination, I even got them from a UK seller as I knew most of the very cheap Chinese ones on ebay would likely be fakes. Then I read about checking them with a magnet as the fakes were not copper/brass but plated iron based (so a poor conductor), and yep, they were fakes |(

Anyway, I got some QED Screwlocs instead (£15 for 4), the QED Airlocs are better but you need special tools (or so I was told) as they are meant to be done by dealers when buying with cable. Anyway, the Screwlocs are a good design, don't break the bank, and are definately not magnetic and so I assume will provide a better signal connection (although if I'm being entirely honest I'm not sure I noticed any difference from the binned fake Nakamichi's!).
