Yup, it will definitely work well - there can be no question on that! Sorry for Gerrards short and to the point post, but there have been a number of "Will such and such speaker package work with such and such amp lately" and it might be getting to him!
On a serious note, what price can you get the MT-20 for? Definitely worth checking out the KEF 3005SE package which is also a stonker style package (WHF rated it higher than the MT-20). Auditioning is the key to get the best system for you.

I've heard the MT20 in action with the Denon 2808 and it sounded very good. As long as you are not used to a traditional speaker set up, you will be very pleased with the B&W speakers and Denon amp.

independent: will the B&W mt 20 theatre speaker package work well with the Denon 1909 avr?Yes it will, but also try other alternatives. Take a listen to the Quad Lite 2's. Fantastic package for the money, and probably the best sounding for music under £1500. It also has one of the best subs you'll get bundled in a 5.1 pack (unless you want to spend silly money). The KEF's have been mentioned, and if your system is purely for movies, take a look at the Miller & Kreisel K1 pack.
