Basically as the title suggests. I have seen a pair of B&W CDM 7 NT Speakers used for around the £500. Would be looking to eventually build a 5.1 home cinema setup with these as the main L&R towers. As they were released around 2002 are they still any good or can you now get something similar for less?

that sounds unreal mate they are still 850 plus new so if your room is the right size you have the funds to get the rest before they disappear off the shelves and they are the right finish you want sounds fine. Oh i guess you like the sound lol.

on my current hi fi, I have an old pair of B&W DM2 2-way transmission speakers ... sound superb and are crystal clear with excellemt bass ... will eventually upgrade my hifi system and may use these as main speakers for a 5.1 cinema setup

(only paid £50 for mine)

oops .... meant to say the DM2 speakers are 3-way transmission speakers

I think you are confusing these with new CM7 speakers that are much better. Personally I think 500 quid is a bit much for a 7 year old design but I did sell my 602S3's for 70% of what I paid for them.
