Hello,

I would like some advice, I don't know what to do, which one, sony 5400 es, 5500 es, 6400 es or wait for 5600 es or maybe 6600 es?? my blue ray source is a BDP 5000 es

I know sony will introduce a 5600es soon, but is it beter than then 6400 es?

I heard 6400 es was much beter than 5400 en 5500 so...

Any idea if a 6500 or 6600 es will come out soon?

thank you

Not a clue: all the info we have is from the US launch, reported here.

No announcement has been made, but I'd assume if such a product exists it'd be a 6600, as the x600es seems to designate the new models. But it's hard to see what it could add to the very comprehensive specification of the STR-DA5600ES

so you think I should wait for the 5600 instead of buying the 6400?

what do you mean by extra custom installation?

I plan to use the RS232 to controle all AV installation with a pronto tsu 9600.

also a second room connection.

Is the phase matching really an interesting feature?

because the 5500 doens't have really more than that to offer compared with the 6400 es or am I wrong?

The 6400ES was a model mainly made for the American CI market, with extra facilities for control within an integrated whole-house system.

As well as having the connectivity of the 5500ES, the 6400ES can also output second zone video over CAT5, and offers 1080i video upscaling and a GUI for Zone 2

Not something I've tested, I'm afraid, but it is a feature on at least one of the new x600ES models. I would have thought that provided you have a relatively conventional speaker layout, using models from the same brand/range, it will be of less relevance.
