Hello to you all,

My post is a multitude of questions really, I have accepted a job offer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

I am looking to ship all my worldy possessions including all my AV equipment which includes the following:

Pioneer PDP-LX508D

Denon AVR4308

Denon 2500BT

Toshiba XE-1

Monitor Audio RS8 x 2, WS12, RSFX x 4, RSLCR

Denon 3910

Denon 3805

The Villa has 220volt supply, will all this kit be quite happy with this?

I have a surge power cleaning extension fitted in the UK, will this work with 220volt?

Has anybody else shipped to the Middle East and what problems have they encountered?

Does anyone know of any quality AV shops in Jeddah? (long shot this one!)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Cameron

Yes on all the equipment working, including the filter - your only problem may be with broadcast TV, but I guess a locally sourced satellite system or set-top box of some kind should solve that one.

If you're going to ship the TV, make sure you do so in the original box, or contact Pioneer to get a replacement box if you don't have one.

AV shops in Jeddah? Not a clue, sorry... Your best bet may be to search the dealer-finder pages of the manufacturers of your equipment

As always Andrew your advice is greatly valued and appreciated, that's a huge relief. I always keep all packaging so no issues there.

I'll check out the dealer-finder pages as suggested. Be good to hear from any other forum members who may be based in the Middle East just to check on any import issues.

Thanks again Andrew.

Cameron.
