Hi all..!!
I have the Dali Fazon Sat 5.1 speakers connected to a Marantz Sr6010. I am looking to install in ceiling speakers for Atmos effects (false ceiling in an apartment). My question is, what type of ceiling speakers should i be looking for? I was looking at the Dali Phantom E50 as i would like to match the sound signature of my system (if it is at all possible with different types of speakers)...what the heck...and I also like brand matching my speakers!! http://www.dali-speakers.com/loudspeakers/phantom-install-speakers/phantom-e-50/ .These can be set to diffuse or directional and are 8 Ohms. My Fazon Sats are 6 Ohms - will this be a problem if they are all connected to the same AV receiver? A couple of downsides are that they are open backed (will this be a problem..producing vibrations within the ceiling?) and their size.
The other speaker that I have been looking at is the Cambridge Audio C46 https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/products/speakers/in-ceiling# . This is a BMR speaker claiming to have 180 degree dispersion. It is closed back and is as small as a normal spotlight, enabling a more discreet installation. It is also 8 Ohms
Which would you recommend? Should I look for 6 Ohm in ceilings or is this not necessary. For now I am looking at a 5.1.2 configuration.
Thank you all in advance! I look forward to hearing from u
