AT33PTG vs AT33PTGii

Hi all

Has anyone compared the two versions of this cartridge?

Can get a Mk1 little used (107 hours according to seller - he apparently has a counter) for under £250 or the mk2 new for around £400.

What's people's thoughts?

Hahaha I like that...

And nah. Holding out for a 1300g (or if I get lucky 1210g) for my 50th next year - or as soon as I find a used one going at a decent price... Not a massive fan of incremental improvements. Also not a massive fan of the DJ looks of the 1210 - for the G I'm prepared to turn a blind eye, also as the brushed metal body is gorgeous.

Well turntable /tonearm I hope to buy as a unit - not fiddling with mods...

Isolation I should be OK (thick corner floating shelves), phono stage just bought a Rega Aria (which leads me to also consider P8 as a candidate - will start demoing soon) and have some low capacitance Mogami and Blue Jeans cables...

I know I should wait for the new turntable to look at cartridges but I am thinking it can't do any harm to start using it on this - and it's not a £2000 cartridge anyway.
