Ask a Question?

I need to do something about that HiFi itch!
I'm actually thinking about replacing my SMSL A300 amp I have in my dining room. The Brio-R integrated amp caught my eye on eBay, really going cheap second hand.

I've done the Moss Bros. measurements and it will fit smugly on my shelfing and owning a Rega has always been my guilty pleasure.
In theory I can use the output RCA as my subwoofer connection but without the LFE ( I think I can adjust the frequency range on my SW?)

Two questions

1. Can someone definitively say the RCA output work on my subwoofer, and;
2. The remote, am I able to switch on the amp using the remote, I don't see the little red button on the remote?

A big thank you in advance for your response to my two questions.

1. Buy a REL and use the speaker terminals
2. No. However you can buy a smart plug and switch that on and off.

Not to be pedantic (!) but that's not a Brio-R, it's the Brio (no -R) that replaced it. Doesn't change your question or the responses though. Rega amps don't have standby, just hard power buttons.
