Artists names in i-Tunes 10

I seem to be getting solo artists showing up twice in i-Tunes 10. I presume it's the latest version as I only downloaded it lastnight. I have it set so that album atrist is firstname surname but in the sorting tab I have surname, firstname. When viewing the artists in the 3 boxes at the top of the screen (genre, artist and album), the artist appears twice e.g David Bowie appears under B and D. There aren't 2 copies of the album in the library, I have double checked. Has anyone else noticed this and found a way around it? I'm sure it didn't happen in i-Tunes 9.

I have also noticed the equaliser is set to 'on' by default.

Thanks for the point about the equaliser. I hadn't noticed that albeit default set to on but set to flat. I assume that although set to flat it may still do some processing so have switched to off.

I have found it improves the sound through the AE with it turned off.
