What speakers you running with it, thinking of Monitor RX1s. Like to know what a good marriage would be.

Try to hear your amp with the Mordaunt-Short Mezzo 2s as well. Superb speakers and they gel brilliantly with CA's excellent amplification. The 540a is very musical and the Mezzos will build on this nicely.
