Anyone had a problem with NAD C515BEE?

Hi,

I have had my NAD C515BEE CD player coupled to a NAD C315BEE and Wharfedale 75th Ann. 9.1 speakers and have been VERY happy. The sound is superb. Recently the CD drawer started opening AND closing immediately after pressing open. Has anyone else had this problem? I have spoken to NAD (or Armour Ltd who own NAD) and they are happy to fix it so I will send it back shortly. I have never had a reliablility problem with NAD equipment before and have been using a 3130 Amp. for over 20 years without a problem!

I've had that with a Nad cdp I used to own and heard/read of it happening to others.

I have had the same problem with my Nad 515 Bee +annoying noise spinning the old cd discs. After 1 years of use the player stopped reading the disc,this player is very unreliable.

I'm a big fan of NAD, but they obviously have some quality control challenges that they need to address quickly. My C545 was serviced, and then eventually replaced. It works now and as always sounds great, but this new one has a much clunkier drawer mechanism and sometimes it opens the drawer and leaves a disk spinning in the tray. Not good for the disk. I'm shopping replacement CDPs now...
