The Telegraph have their own motives but if you're an elected politician or Brussels bureaucrat, doesn't really matter if you sit on the right or left, they're all made from the same fabric.

Their head resigned today after the Telegraph revealed the BBC were telling fibs, so much for journalistic integrity. Is Trump suing?

I really think the BBC ought to change it's name to Faux News! 🙂

They took the first half of a sentence from the start of the interview. Then they took the second half of a sentence from 50 minutes later in the interview. They joined them both together to give a totally different meaning to what was said. Let's hope Trump does sue them, because it's well deserved in this case.

Yes, it completely changed the narrative, there's no question about it, it was wilful deception and deliberately engineered to distort the actual message. Listening to the edited version, Trump was seen to be encouraging his supporters to commit acts of violence.

I don't think I'm alone in the opinion that the BBC has and continues to abuse its position of trust. This is one instance where it has weaponized news information for the purpose of gaslighting the populous.

The CEO falling on his own sword because he was caught doesn't absolve the BBC, far from it, the situation is irretrievable. A new CEO gets a new paint job and a get out of jail card free but he's part of the broken system and it will eventually catch up with him.

There are still some honest brokers (subject to YouTube censorship) that are outside the sphere of influence both internally and externally, Owen Jones comes to mind, that are true to their journalistic integrity and want to present honest news reporting without the geopolitical spin or tarnish the facts.

It's a shame we can't use the direct messaging to have a proper conversation 🙂
