Hi all.
I’m new to hi-fi and need some help.
I’ve recently come into possession of a michell syncro turntable and a pair of waterfall iguascu evo speakers - I now need an amp to do justice.

budget is £300 for something second hand and I can get either thishttps://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333532336606

Or

or a mission Cyrus amp.

can anyone help and recommend? Thanks so much x

Not all Cyrus amps have a phono section so a phono pre-amp would be needed. This is all the amp you could need. Lots of quality power and sounds fabulous.

By coincidence Paul, at the time of buying my current amp, I had consecutive home-loans of Arcam, Roksan and Cyrus.
All I can say is that the difference in sound between them
(A85, Kandy and Cyrus 8, respectively) was massive.
And that's the point - the differences in your shortlist might surprise you, it's why it would really help you to hear them, preferably with your speakers.
Having said that, I can see that auditioning may not be an option for you.
What model number Cyrus amp have you seen?
Are you able to describe the sound of your speakers on the warm to bright scale with warm being 0, bright 10?

You will need something with as good phono stage as you can. I'd look for something unusual as your budget your TT will quickly outperform amps you can get for the money. Can you go up to £500 ?Carat A57 would do great as it's got a cracking phono stage usually around £500 mark.
