Amp upgrade recommendations please...

Hi everyone!

I am planning to upgrade my Pioneer A-400. I would like to ask your opinion as to what amplifier below £800 can give a significant improvement over my set up. I like to listen to all sorts of music (classical, pop, rock, dance) but most of the time easy listening ones. Any thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Tread very carefully and do lots of auditioning. The A-400 is a very tough act to follow.

Worth looking at the new Pioneer amps - A-A6MK2 and A-A9MK2 - and also the latest amps from Yamaha (A-S700 and A-S1000) and Creek (Evolution 2). You might also want to try the Roksan Kandy K2 (a good match to your speakers) and the Denon PMA1500AE.
