Amp partnering advice sort.

Hi,

My Marrantz PM 66 SE Ki Sig amp has started to play up, and I feel the need to plump for a new (well, used) intergrated amp. The sounds seems to rise and fall unless i have it set to source direct, and last night even that wasnt working properly......so it needs to get the boot.

I currently have a CD6000 ki sig cd player, QED silver aniversary bi wired into a set of KEF Q55s.

Would anyone have any suggests for second hand amps that would sonic-ly suit my set up? The inclusion of a MM phono stage would be a plus for my Linn Axis.

Currently in my thinking are:-

Either the Arcam Alpha 9 or 10

Rotel ra-1062

Like idea of a Linn, but the Magik int amps are a bit low on power.

Any suggestions greatly recieved.

Or the Marantz PM6002 which Richer Sounds are doing for £200 at the moment - you'll get the same sonic signature and aesthetics, and it's very well liked here.

Excellent amplifier, more refinement, power and control and the same sonic signature of you current amplifier.

The Arcam Alpha 9 or 10 integrated amps would be good but i think your speakers would be a let down in the system.
