Alternative To B&W MT25 & MT30

I have been looking to buy a cinema system for my lounge
which is being decorated in 2 weeks and wanted to buy the B&W MT25 or MT30
pack that was recommended by a friend.



I was going to buy it a few weeks ago but my local shop
said to wait as there was a new version with new speakers coming out soon but
they have now told me that the new version will not be available to buy until January
/ February next year.







I need to find an alternative in the next 2 weeks.



Has anybody got any suggestions at a similar price?



Also, what Amp should I be looking at? I was recommended
to buy the Onkyo 609.



Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi walton

Monitor Audio's Radius HD Series and Apex Series of sub/sat speakers are also worth serious consideration. In my experience Yamaha AV amplifers work superbly with Monitor Audio speakers. Depending on speaker choice and budget their RX-V671, RX-V771 or their new Aventage amplifiers the RX-A810, RX-A1010 etc. are worth bearing in mind.
