Airplay to Marantz MCR 610

Hi.

I wonder can anyone help me with a problem i have?

I acquired an Iphone 6 recently, which is a step up from my old Iphone 4s.

I would like to use the BBC Iplayer, through Airplay, on the Marantz MCR 610; but so far, no luck; the Iphone doesnt seem to find or recognise the Marantz unit.

Does anyone know a simple way of getting things back up and running again?

Is the Marantz connected to your home network? Ages since I've used one of these Marantz systems, but IIRC it does Airplay via the wi-fi network, not directly from your iPhone to the system.

Correct you have to connect the marantz to your network via wifi or cable before you can airplay to it. If it had its own wifi, any randon dude walking past your house could airplay to it.

Yes, the Marantz is directly wired to the router.

... ensure you use the 'Network Control ON' option.

Still doesn't work....it keeps asking me to remove network cable?

Then call Marantz on Monday morning. The M-CR603 and ‘611 are (in my experience anyway) ‘plug-in-and-go’ and really easy to set-up.

Umm, must be a problem with the Iphone 6. I just fired up the old Iphone 4s, and, guess what, Airplay and Iplayer played stuff from R2 earlier on today no problem at all?

Reboot the iPhone 6 then (and make sure it has wi-fi switched on and pointing to same network as Marantz).

Still no joy...iphone Airplay Mirroring looking for an Apple TV, but nothing else happening.
