Hi All,
If you own a Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray player, then please can you help me....
I have an Acer PH110 projector with VGA, S-Video and composite connections. As I wish to connect VGA to Component (cable provided with projector), I have the following questions about the S370:-
[*]Does this player output DVD at 576p and Blu-Ray at 1080i via component?[*]The projector manual states 'Press “Source” to choose RGB, Component-p, Component-i, S-Video, Composite Video and HDTV sources.' Therefore will my projector accept the signal from the Sony player? (Sorry, I am new to home cinema!)[*]It looks like my projector will need to do some downscaling, therefore a forum member (thanks Cookie Monster!) has suggested I look for a player that handles motion extremely well - as this will maintain detail and sharp edges, reducing the effect of the 24 to 50htz conversion. Is this something the Sony is good at?[*]I presume I can view online video (BBC iplayer etc.) via the component connection?[*]Finally, does any other player come close to the Sony?
Many thanks,
Darran
