Advice on which CD player.

I have a Samsung HT-E7650W surround sound system with cd/ bluray player for the last 6 years . The cd playback ok but noisy and I wld like to add a good cd player to the Samsung. The integrated amp and speakers will stay. The connections available are Optical and Aux in. Any ideas, recommendations and suggestions wld be apprecuated. Cd player offering both versions? Cost is always an issue.

but I wouldn't spend more than £200 on a player, plenty of choice around both new and used, you don't say where you are from but a quick search on the Richer Sounds website shows the Marantz CD5005 at £170, good reviews and looks nice.

Thank you, i'll have a look. I was not thinking about spending more than £200 and if I cld get a good demo version I will go for it as well. I forgot to mention the hdmi connection. Worth considering as an option? What connection wld u recommend?
