Hi all - non-expert newbie here seeking some guidance.
I have a Rotel RA-9358X Amp - recently it has intermittently played through only one channel and worse, the playing channel is sometimes very distorted.
It has a single volume dial which can independently change each side (or both). Twiddling, even pulling/pushing this sometimes makes the fault go away...I said I was not an expert!
My question this - on the face of it, is the fix potentially a nice easy single component change (the classic "it's a known problem" a la every car I've every owned). Is this worth considering or should I just buy a new amp?
Counting back, it's given over 30 years of service from new since I was a teen, so maybe a dignified and understated send-off for it might be best!?
Thanks in advance
Stee
