I am considering adding a pair of floorstanding speakers (Kef IQ5se) to my current Kef kht3005 5.1 system. I would like to acheive a 7.1 cinema and good stereo sound when I sort out my Sonos system which I am purchasing in the very near future.------------------------------------------------------ My question is; How well will the floorstanders intergrate with the 3005 set up?

The main issue is going to be your centre. It might work okay, but have a listen first to the 3005 centre and then try out the iQ2c or the iQ6c to go with the iQ5s to ensure you keep the balance of the front three.

If you were to add floorstanders would they have to be KEFs? I have the 3005SE's and was thinking about upgrading to B&W 685s with the 62 centre and moving the 3005 sats to the rear.

Doesn't have to be no. The advantage of using KEF all round is they all use KEF's Uni-Q technology which should help in keeping the tonal balance. However, have a listen to both the B&Ws and the KEFs - if you prefer the B&W setup, then that's the one for you!
