Just had a hi-fi wondering moment: Is there any possible way I can connect a subwoofer to the back of my amplifier which does not have a sub output? I know that the problem is that my amp would amplifier the current and then the sub would up this once more...is there anything I can do? Perhaps a little internal fiddling with the '79 JVC?

You can use a high-level sub lead that has a Speakon Neutrik at one end and three bear wires at the other. The three wires go onto three of the binding posts on your amp. The next stage is to spend the rest of your life tweaking the sub roll-off, volume and position...you _will_ go insane. Plus a sub really only gives you boomy bass. Mine stays off most of the time.

I'm not clear on what you're asking. How does the high-level input approach work?
