A-S500 + CD6003

Hello, i have recently bought a yamaha A-S500, chuffed to bits with it, but i havent managed to find speakers that fit, can anyone help, i am currently using my dads tatty old mission 717's which are perfect if a little too much bass. I had bought Kef iq5's but found they lacked any detail in the voice, i have tried listening to BX2s, but i also find them limited in the clarity of the voice and the bass seems poor, i also tried some focal chorus 706, which were perfect in the voice detail and the mid range, but lacked any bass - can anyone help suggest speakers that match the bright 717 missions, or even tell me what speck they are because i cant find it anywhere.

I have also tried mission 702e but found them compressed too.

Please can someone help me, my hifi shop thinks that i am talking rubbish, but i know what i like to listen to.

My dad has a cyrus 2 amp, with ruark sabres which sound perfect to me, but i dont know if they will match the yamaha amp

If you find Ruarks ideal, try MA old RS or RX range. I'm thinking RX1 or RS6; very open and detailed with fast, deep bass - these should fit the bill nicely.
