8000M & 8000MX

Does anybody know the difference? I don't seem to be able to find anything on it, except that the 8000MX is no longer in the lineup. Perhaps the newer 8000M is the old MX?

The 8000MX was an upgrade of the 8000M, with some changes in circuit topology designed to give cleaner signal paths.

The 8000MX was the basis of the TAG McLaren Audio 125M. on which the current IAG-made 8000M is based.

So yes, the current M is the old MX, if a couple of generations removed.

Ah, so I guessed correct. Interesting - coz there are a couple of MX's going on ebay right now. They are F serials... oo might have to =)
