40 Watt Amplifier can deliver deep bass?

I recently bought a Monitor Audio Bronze BR 5 (second hand) which is great and I've decided buy a cheap Rotel Ra05, I am worried the amp with 40 watt can deliver deep in the bass and good imaging and no hars or bright, with by pass of tone control. anyone can help me?

I have a Rotel RA-02, which has 40w powering a pair of B&W 602S3. I found it was running out of steam at moderate volumes, which was causing some harshness at the top end, and a lack of 'deep' bass.

I have now added a Rotel RB-06 power amp, which I think produces 70W. This has made a massive difference to the bass. I have more bass at lower volumes, and at higher volumes the bass is excellent.

So, I would say that your RA-05 may struggle a little for 'deep bass' as you put it at higher volumes.

It should sound fine - the RA05 and BR5s are a good match.

You get what you pay for. Some amps might have more bass than the Rotel, but I'll guarantee it won't be as tight and punchy.
