Dear Experts, I have just bought a Sony KDL-40LX903 in the sales and wish to buy a 3D player to go with it. At the moment I use a sony BDP 760 Player driving my Arcam AV9 Processor via its multi channel outputs after the HD Audio has been decoded in the player. I have a PS3 that I am using as a short term stop gap solution. The Blu-ray player does not have to play CDs as I use a Cyrus CDXT SE CD transport and Cyrus 8Xpd QX amp with a pair of Dynaudio Focus 110 speaker for my Hi-Fi. Or play DVDs as I use an Arcam DV139 with my Arcam Amp. I would like to know if there is likely to be a 3D enabled BDP 5000ES in the wings before I shell out for a new player? Which other players should I also consider which would match my requirements? Yours eagerly waiting for a solution.

Looks like Sony's forthcoming BDP-S780 will have multichannel outs - and, rumour has it, much of the performance of the '5000ES. We'll obviously be testing that out when we get our hands on one.... Not sure if Sony will be previewing it at the Bristol Show later this month.

And a strange call by Sony in my opinion to completely omit multichannel outputs from all there current Blu Ray players!

I believe the S550 had multible outs, but from then on they slowly removed them from every model. But good to see they apparently are coming back in S780.
