10m HDMI cables not carrying 1080p?

i currently need a 10m hdmi cable and whilst looking at decent cables today i noticied quite a number that said they couldn't carry 1080p over 10m but a lot specified upto 7.5m 1080p and 10m drops to 720p is this something different in the make up of the longer cables to make you buy more expensive ones or that the quality degrades over distance?

The latter. Buy a cable guaranteed to carry 1080p over the length you need, and check it does so before making any permanent installation.

Digits, of course, are digits, so the above is clearly rubbish, as I am sure all the usual naysayers will avow - but trust me on this one...
