My cousin and his wife live in Chaozhou, SE China and I lived and worked in Hong Kong and Macau selling serious Hi-Fi kit which is just a few hours South I love the old music from there which I grew to love.
I was so lucky my cousin, Kasia who worked in the West End Theatreland got me a rare as hen`s teeth ticket to see Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scotts in Soho with some incredible guests in November 2007.
The whole gig was incredible and unforgettable but this is my favourite - an old blues standard with the incomparable Imogen Heap doing scat.
I worship this lady - Beth Hart - unfortunately I couldn`t get a ticket for her at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester a few years ago but this one from a big church in Amsterdam in the nineties is one of the best concerts I have ever seen and I`ve been to thousands of gigs since 1977.
I love underrated bands and Maggie Bell and Stone the Crows were incomparable IMHO.What a mega Glaswegian band.Maggie is still going and she`s nearly ninety!
I wish I was old enough to see these live.
I preferred these to the Bay City Rollers in the early 1970`s
