A few weeks ago Rush in Amsterdam. Absolutely fabulous!

And 2 weeks ago the Tragically Hip. Way different concert, but it was fantastic.

Saw Claire Martin singing songs from the great American songbook at the Cadogan Hall last night - just her and a jazz trio (piano; bass; drummer). Sublime - perfect hot summer evening sounds. 🙂

Now sitting listening to a high-res recording of her latest album, which is a fabulous reprise 🙂

Last Wednesday saw Beth Rowley at the Slaughtered Lamb Clerkenwell , it was incredibly hot in the small basement venue with cooling fans and free ice lollies provided but the discomfort was well worth enduring because of the wonderful performance .

She is very talented and beautiful and it's a shame that she does not do more live gigs .

Burt Bacharach at the Royal Festival Hall. A living legend and I got a handshake from him at the end!

Never heard such a spinetinglingly dramatic rendition of Anyone Who Had A Heart.

Chuck Loeb at the Pizza Express Soho last night and it was an absolutely fantastic performance :rockout:

Here is a video of him performing there a couple of years ago .

Amazing music from a top class musician and the sound balance was superb as it always is at this wonderful venue , Live music at it's best :rockout:

This video will give you some idea of what I am talking about but it is a slightly more exotic venue than Southend 🙂

The Boxer Rebellion at the Forum, Kentish Town. Seeing them again at the Brighton Coalition in February, great band.

Shed Seven coming up at The Junction, Cambridge.

South African Blues legend Dan Patlansky is at the Half Monn in Putney next Thirsday. That is my next gig.

Last gig was Alter Bridge in Cardiff last week. OK, but not great. Going through the motions at times.

I know this is latest gig, but I'm so damned excited about LOOP that I had to tell the world.

THE COMPUTERS - Wolverton Crauford Arms - November 25th

LOOP - Leeds Brudenell Social Club - December 3rd

THE YOUNG GODS - Islington O2 Academy - December 15th

Went to the first of the trilogy, The Computers last night in MK.

Not so many people there, but they really are a great live band.

First time I saw them at a festival, I thought they were a mix of a rockabilly band, and The Stooges. Last night however, I could really here the soul influence, and also the Elvis Costello/Clash/Hives link.

So if you like rockabilly, soul, Elvis Costello, The Clash, with a touch of Stooges and The Hives, they really are a great band to see live.

Buddy Whittington. At the Mick Jagger centre Dartford last Saturday .

This guy can really play and sing the blues .

Loop @ the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds.

Was great, but came away a little disappointed, as I was hoping for more somehow.

The Young Gods @ O2 Academy Islington tonight.

Still a stunning live band. Fantastic
