If you - like me - perhaps baulked at the price of The Delicate Sound of Thunder when they re-did the video (think it was around £50 when it came out a few years back and still clocks in at £35 or so), if you head over to Amazon Prime in the UK, you'll get it in HD for just £10.99. Great concert video, even if the Floyd sans Waters had hired some over enthusiastic session band members hopping around the stage, but it does at least have the heavenly Rachel Fury on backing vocals, which the filming team wasted no time lingering over in several of the shots! The film looks great however and it's a terrific gig.
And for another £7.99, you'll get Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets tribute band of his own band filmed at their Roundhouse gig a few years ago. Less than £20 and you'll get two utterly stellar concert movies.
And that can tide you by until David Byrne hopefully releases a video of his current tour which is in the UK just now and which is so good, it's life affirming.
