Yamaha RXV795 optical link and HDMI issue

Hi currently have an old Yamaha 5.1 vanilla amp but love the sound, looking now to step up with HDMI DTS HD Mtsr Audio etc, so been looking at Yamaha RXV765 but come across asigining issues with Sky HD could anybody let me know if firmwares work to relive this issue or have the latest models been cured? Any other amp suggestions helpful as well.

ps. would have thought it will work out of the box-firmware upgrade was ages ago-august 09 i think. v impressed with sound-mine was upgrade from old yammy too
