Yamaha RX-A810 v Onkyo TX-NR709

Hi Guys

I'm trying to decide between the Yamaha RX-A810 and the Onkyo TX-NR709. I need something with 2 outputs as a have a projector as well as a TV.

As well as Blu-ray and DVD I've got a very large and diverse collection of music on vinyl and CD, plus a media centre PC, Wii and PS3. Speakers are the Q Accoustics 2000i.

Any opinions or advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi,if it helps i have the yamaha A1010.Its a fantastic peice of kit,driving my sats superbly.

My advice would be to arrange a demo,and listen for yourself,but imho the yamaha are better musicaly.

I know you're asking about an 810 but I had a 1010 and it was truly dreadful, despite great reviews. So be very sure to listen and compare. I've gone back to my trusty old Sony.
