the Sonos controllers in your phone or indeed their own one were able to play the music as well (obviously a headphone socket would be needed on the Sonos controller)

This is quite a frequently requested feature on the sonos forum, along with making the pc software a zone player but it's been resolutely ignored.

Can't you listen to internet radio on your phone?
