Worthwhile Audio show in , or near Essex

Hello Guys, Who can tell me if there is any worthwhile Audio shows in or nearby to Essex or London?

I like to buy secondhand and its got the point where I don't know how my old speakers compare the 'new' sound of speakers. I cant really expect Audio shops to assist me when all I want to do is listne and then go elsewhere (ie Ebay ).

I have 30 year old Diesis Minis (Ruark ) and some Celestion Ditton 332s. I like the idea of some newer floorstanders like Ruark Prologues , Regas or even Tannoy Rev. Sig DC4Ts which Ive seen for very good money .

Hi-fi Wigwam organised show at Scalford near Melton Mowbray in March every year.

It is by far the best hi-fi show in the UK. Best sounding systems. Best atmosphere. Most interesting range of kit.

is there not one in London at any time ? I have heard of the Bristol one but that is a fair drive for me ...
