Hi,

I'm considering a new AVR, and I'm looking in two price ranges. I'm leaning towards Pioneer and Yamaha.

For around £600 I can get:

- Yamaha RX-A1010

- Pioneer VSX-2021

For around £1000 I can get:

- Yamaha RX-A2010

- Pioneer SC-LX55 (actually £800)

- Pioneer SC-LX75 (including the BDP-440 blu-ray player)

All of them have the features I'm looking for. Would it be worth the extra £400 to get the high end models, in terms of power, sound quality etc.

I will be using it for both movies and music, but mainly movies.

I have the Monitor Audio Silver RX series speakers with RX6 as fronts.
