I have a pine hi-fi rack for my Arcam CD192 and Cyrus 8vs2 amp.

I have ordered some Isonodes to try and eek out more from the system to use under my cd player.

The player sits on a sliding but fairly solid shelf within the rack.

Would the sound be improved it I screwed the shelf into place to give it more stability? Or will the Isonodes stop any vibration anyway.

Many thanks.

Rack make cd player and TT preform at their best but that's it, no rack can improve the sound. How can they? I always amazed with the comment like "glass shelf make system sound clearer" or "wooden shelf will give out more bass!" They are just a rack! look nice may be but MF supercharge...they ain't. :)

And you need to add valve amps (or anything with valves) as the valve innards can vibrate which will have a direct effect on the signal passing through it (microphoney) . Indeed dampening rings are often used to help reduce this effect.
