Im buyign a new flat and i need to get a relavitely wire free solution but i dont want 2.1 vsound or a sound bar i want true 5.1/6/.1. Im also interested in getting wireless because it was save me having any wires trailing around. Im not a diy savy kind of person so i dont want to lay cables for the rear speakers.

Is the phillips 6.1 wireless system any good? or is there anything better out there.Or is it that wireless systems are just rubbish and i should think again?

Wireless really isn't what it says on the tin. Unless dramatic changes have been made, rear wireless speakers for example need to be plugged in to a power point. Nowadays, you are better off chasing speaker cable into walls are running wires along skirting board, under floorboards etc., If you are buying a new flat, lift up your carpet before you place any furniture and run two or three (if you are going for 6.1) runs from where you are putting your receiver to the back of the room. Then you will only have to chase these up the wall - I am no DIYer but that isn't difficult.

[/quote] I haven't checked prices but these seem good. http://www.soundandvisiononline.com/moreinfo/index.asp?product_id=14522 Speakers, you could go for great value and then decent receiver and pay for someone to install and decorate for a wireless presentation. http://www.soundandvisiononline.com/moreinfo/index.asp?product_id=12172 these could be added to the new Onkyo 606 and would keep you £500 under budget and with plenty for your decorator. Or, you could go for something like Mission's M Cubes and you would be under your £2500 budget with the Onkyo and you could install yourself.
