Hi there, im looking to buy headphones, my requirements are :

Wireless, optional plug for use on aeroplanes, pc gaming, watching movies on laptop, music.

I looked at the bose AE2w but not for pc gaming use.

Budget £250 at a push.

Any advice please.

Can the headphones be used for gaming?[/b]

No. Most gaming consoles do not use the same Bluetooth® protocols as Bose® AE2w headphones. A2DP is necessary for audio with the headphones, so they would only work for communications, not game audio. In general, the audio/video delay will be excessive and most noticeable in games where action and audio are supposed to be synchronised. Players of casual games with sound effects may not have an issue.

I've been using the SoundMAGIC WP10 lately. The sender box used 2.4Ghz tech to send the signal (much better than BT), which can be connected to a PC via USB, or you can connect an analogue cable to the headphones directly or to the sender box itself. If connected to an analogue source the sender box would then powered by USB (USB cable connects to a plug). Technically this would do everything you want, but I'm not sure if it's the way you would want to do it.
