Finally took the plunge and no regrets.

First impressions were "WOW" what detail! I listened to Kind of Blue and heard details that i thought just weren't there before!

On the downside I do understand what people mean by saying it is a bit of a dull match.

At first i thought the low base was less, but it turned out to be much tigher and lower. However, it is a bit colder and the low-mid range is less pronounciated, whilst the highs were somewhat harsh. But this improved a lot after a few days of use and a week on they are still improving.

To me the CA i more in yer face whilst the Roksan is a tad more retreated...But the difference in detail & spacing & imaging is staggering!

I do think Ediie Pound has a point and my next upgrade will be a DacMagic...

Sounds like you should have got the CA 840A!! Bags of detail and imagery and booom booom it goes some!!

Give it a couple of weeks to run-in properly. Things should start to gel together. . .

Blunny89:Definitely worth the upgrade, I upgraded my 540A V2 to the Roksan last Friday. No regrets!

Damn, nice upgrades! I haven't heard the new Roksan speakers but they look great!

Cheers bud, at first I was a little underwhelmed... Say what you will, as they are being run-in they are getting better and better (or me just adjusting to their sound?) either way I'm now chuuuuuffed. With that many u's.

It's my opinion that you can only decide on something after an extended listening period.

Arcam to some, sounds boring but give it a few minutes and you're hooked. Every time you switch the ****** on.

Same seems to be happening with your Rok.
