I have one of these on order and wonder if this unit will be Multi region for standard DVD. I currently have a TOshiba DVD player in my set up simply because it will play region 1 discs. If the Pioneer will do this I can free up some space..... CHeers

It won't be multi region as standard, so you need to check with the supplier.

They could probably make it multi region for you for a fee, as it will need to be a hardware fix, rather than done by a remote hack.

Others may know better than me about the cost, as my BDP-320 came already multi regioned by my supplier.

A hardware fix is not necessary to make a player multiregion for DVDs. As advised, ask your dealer. If they don't make it multiregion, it may be worth dropping an email to this seller on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pioneer-DVD-Blu-ray-player-multi-region-hack-remote-/120651207588?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_DVDPlayers_Recorders&hash=item1c175f53a4#ht_2880wt_922

Alternatively, replace your region 1 DVDs with region 2's from ebay/car boot sales, may work out to be the cheaper alternative if you don't have that many region 1 DVDs.

Apologies, my mistake.
